Welcome to the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust


I’m delighted to welcome you to the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST.) The Trust was founded in 2012 from a commitment to excellent education for academies in the Oxford Diocese. ODST has now grown into a large family serving over 3500 pupils and their families and communities.

We support schools right across the diocese, which covers Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Milton Keynes. An ODST school is a special place, which values its individual identity and serves its local community. We want
every person in our schools to know that are uniquely valuable.

We believe in the transformational power of human relationships. By building effective relationships between our schools in hubs and by encouraging our schools also to play their fullest part in the existing networks to which they belong, we believe that we can work collaboratively to raise attainment and ensure schools get better together. 

In the same way that we are committed to the highest professional standards from our staff, we ensure that all our schools have high aspirations for their pupils, not just in the key curriculum areas but in those wider aspects of education that ensure our young people leave school fit to be caring and effective citizens in the world of tomorrow.

ODST is a place where all are welcome; for both CofE schools and community schools, for staff and pupils of all faiths and none, where academic excellence abounds and where pupils and staff are enabled, valued and encouraged to become outward looking, resilient learners and professionals.

Special visitor for St Luke's pupils
The Prime Minister, Theresa May, visited St. Luke’s CE Primary School on Friday 4th May as part of a school project on Inspirational People. She spoke about her role locally and globally and answered a range of questions from the KS2 pupils. 

GDPR support for schools

New General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into force on 25 May 2018. ODST schools can now find GDPR support online, including our new Data Protection Policy, Privacy Notice, video guide and toolkits.

Fir treeODST welcomes two new schools

Following the Easter holidays we were delighted to welcome two new schools into the trust - St Nicholas CE Infant School and Fir Tree Community Junior School. Both schools are in Wallingford, Oxfordshire and welcome ceremonies took place on 24 April.
 
Northbourne primary ODST 30th schoolNorthbourne becomes ODST's 30th school

ODST is now a family of 30 schools, with Northbourne CE Primary  School officially welcomed into the trust. Northbourne, near Didcot, celebrated with an opening assembly on 5 February.

St Luke's nurseryNew nursery for St Luke's

St Luke's CE primary have celebrated the opening of the school's new nursery, with the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead cutting the ribbon. The nursery opening follows St Luke's' Outstanding Ofsted report and was made possible by a generous donation from a local charity.



 
Deddington openingWelcome to Deddington primary

We are delighted to welcome Deddington CE Primary School to ODST. Deddington celebrated joining the trust with an opening ceremony on 30 January.

We are delighted to annouce that with the support of the CSMV Trustees at Wantage we have six high quality newly appointed apartments available for teachers at affordable rent. Located in the beautiful area of Wantage and within communtable distance to Oxford and the surrounding area.
