GDPR support

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a regulation by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU).

ODST and our schools have agreed a project plan and policies to achieve compliance with the new regulations by 25 May 2018.

GDPR policies and helpful guides

We have developed for ODST schools an updated Data Protection Policy (Updated for GDPR). This needs to be approved by School Governing bodies and put on your school’s website.
In addition, the school should also approve the DFE developed Pupil Privacy Notice and put this on the school website.
Downloadable policies can be found below, along with further useful documents including template letters and checklists.
