Governors and Clerks

We are always interested in hearing from individuals who would like to join us as school governors or clerks to governors.

School Governors

Governors are volunteers who play a vital role in shaping the education of children and young people, by helping to set the ethos, vision, and strategy for our schools. It's a rewarding opportunity, and one that can also help you build on your professional skills in a variety of areas. We offer a range of training to support your work.

Clerks to Governors

Clerks play a valued role in supporting the work of our school governors. The role involves preparing agendas and papers for Local Governing Body meetings, producing minutes and liaising with the Chair of Governors and Headteacher. The role is part-time, paid, and home-based with the exception of attending six meetings a year.
