The Diocese of Oxford is the administrative area of the Church of England that, broadly speaking, covers the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. It covers 2,200 square miles and includes 626 parishes with 815 churches. ODST was set up in 2012 As a limited company operating within the family of the Diocese of Oxford.
As the education board of the Diocese of Oxford, the ODBE serves the 283 church schools within the Diocese of Oxford, and the wider community of parishes, clergy, children, young people and families of our diocese who have links with education. It also provides some services for ODST, such as admissions and premises support.
ODBST is a new diocesan Multi Academy Trust (MAT) established in September 2017 by the Oxford Diocesan Board of Education (ODBE) to provide an organisation for schools within the Buckingham episcopal area (Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes) seeking to become an Academy within a MAT. Any school can apply to join: voluntary controlled, voluntary aided, academy or community; primary or secondary; mainstream or special.
